Did you ever want to dance Scottish reels and strathspeys like they did in Braveheart or Rob Roy? Or perhaps you've harbored a secret fantasy of wearing a kilt? If so, come dance with us at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church each Friday evening at 7:00 pm, beginning October 6. We have live music, and you never need to bring a partner. Beginners are always welcome, as different levels are taught by several teachers. Scottish country dancing is a great way to laugh while you forget the stresses of the work week. No reservations are necessary; just bring $7 and comfortable clothes. For more detail, you may contact Jack Cole about our classes (relax guys ... you don't HAVE to wear a kilt !! ) Parking There is limited on-street parking on 54th, 55th and 56th Streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenues after 6:00 PM and all day Saturday and Sunday. It costs $0.25 per quarter-hour. You feed quarters into the muni meter and display the receipt in your windshield. Fifth Ave. Presbyterian has a parking discount arrangement with a garage on 56th Street, which costs $9.00 for up to 10 hours on weeknights, Saturdays and Sundays. Direct Parking, Inc. at 51 West 56th St. is the second garage on the left as you head east on 56th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Have your parking receipt validated at the chuch desk in the lobby. Copyright © 1998-2008 by Cameron Scottish Dancers and Scotia Dance and Music Publishers. All rights reserved.
